About Us
Women of Power Ministries was birthed out in 2003. After much prayer the Lord led the founder to incorporate in 2005. The purpose of this ministry is to encourage women of God to embrace the call of God on their lives. The heartbeat of the ministry is prayer, the founders motto is, "Nothing goes without prayer."
The Lord has ministered in a powerful way through each conference that has been held and the vision of the ministry is to continue the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ. It is my prayer that you will be blesed by the history of Women of Power Ministries.
Conference 2004 – Rise and Shine It’s a New Season (Isaiah 43:18-19) – New life to Holy Ghost Pentecostal Church. This year brought about change as our Pastor was joined in marriage with our Co-Pastor. God brought freshness to the ministry and also change. The first conference took place as a result of a conference that was to be held by a former minister who decided to drop the ball in midstream but Prophetess Vails willingly met the challenge and the first conference took place at Holy Ghost Pentecostal Church in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Conference 2005 – Embracing the Call of God on Your Life (Ephesians 4:11-12) – God began to walk us through on how to embrace the call of God on our lives. The Women of Power Board was established in August 2005 during a ladies meeting. God place five ladies in their proper place on the executive board. This conference was held in Lawton Oklahoma.
Conference 2006 – Stay on the Wall (Nehemiah 6:3) – From 2005 until the conference we went through intense deliverance training. Several of us saw the need for deliverance ministry and as we made the decision to go further in the Lord God proved himself faithful to us by not only giving us a fresh anointing for pouring in a desire for a closer walk with Him. Our third conference was held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Conference 2007 – Hunger for Holiness (Matthew 5:6) – This year brought a deep desire to pray to the WOP ladies. A conference call prayer group was established and as we gathered each week to pray we began to not only grow closer to the Lord but closer to one another. Confidence and trust was built as a result of prayer. The conference was held in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Conference 2008 – Pressing toward the Mark (Philippians 3:13-14) – This year we experienced persecution and trial but the Lord walked us through as we were determined to Press toward the Mark. The enemy tried to bring division but as we gathered for this conference we saw God restore relationships, heal broken hearts, restore and reconcile us in order that we may continue to move forward in the Lord. This conference was to be held in South Carolina but due to last minute changes the venue was changed to Lawton, Oklahoma.
Conference 2009 – Bring Forth Beloved Bring Forth (Galatians 5:22-23) – Intercession continued as we learned about what it truly means to bring forth. 2009 has indeed been a year of bringing forth as well as judgment; not only in our midst but throughout the world. We continue to see the hand of God and the word of the Lord being fulfilled. We are now moving forward and will raise the standard and learn how to walk on the highway of holiness to the Lord. The conference was held in San Antonio, Texas
Conference 2010 – Raising the Standard, Holiness a Highway to the Lord (Isaiah 35:8-10) - God truly has been faithful to us since the birth of this ministry. It is my desire to continue to do all that He has placed in my hands for the Glory of God. I have a deep desire to see the women of God fully equipped to complete their destiny in God. I thank God for the ladies that God has entrusted to me to mentor. I count it an honor and a privilege to be able to serve God in this capacity. It is my prayer that we will continue to move forward, setting our faces as flint and do the will of God. The Lord instructed us to have this conference in Lawton Oklahoma.
Conference 2011 – Make Me a Vessel of Honor Meet for the Masters Use (2 Timothy 2:20-22) - It was a very tough year; however, God remained faithful to see us to Orlando Florida. God brought together seven women of God, each one walked through great trial throughout the year in order to deliver the word of the Lord. We saw lives changed by the power of God. Many came to the conference hungry for the Lord to minister. Vessels came broken but left healed and restored by the power of God. We are moving forward to 2012 where we will convene in the city of Winchester Virginia.
