Prophetess Deborah A. Taylor President/Founder Women of Power Ministries, received the Lord into her heart in 1972 at the age of nine years old. At the age of twelve the Lord anointed her to sing at which time she vowed to only sing for Him. As a young teenager Deborah sought God for a closer walk with him and a couple of years later, while at a Saturday evening service, the Lord ministered to her and laid a heavy prophetic anointing on her life. The Lord began to use her, not only to sing but also to prophesy to His people. Deborah's mentor, Apostle Shirley A. McClendon recognized the anointing on her life and began to instruct and tutor her in the ministry and encouraged her to continue her walk with the Lord.
At the age of eighteen, while serving in the United States Army, the Lord called her into the ministry. Deborah completed her ministerial training in Germany while serving under Pastor Byrne, at the Christian Servicemen's Center in Stuttgart Germany . She was licensed in 1991 and ordained in 1999 under the late Bishop Joe Tomlinson. Deborah served at Faith Mission House of Prayer under the leadership of Bishop Clifford Walton from 1996-1999 during which time she served on the Nurse guild, Youth department and was an Intercessor for the ministry. Deborah joined Soul Care Gospel Church under the leadership of Apostle & Dr. Sandra Powell in 1999 and served in various areas of ministry such as Youth Pastor, Usher, Altar worker and choir member. In 2001 after much prayer Deborah embraced the office of Prophetess. She has served as Women's Aglow President, Sunday School Teacher, Missionette Leader, Youth Pastor, Lay Coordinator, District Youth Board Member and Assistant Pastor.
The Lord has opened many doors for her where by she travels throughout the United States , Europe and Africa preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2003 she founded Women of Power Ministries, Inc. The purpose and vision of this ministry is to encourage, train and equip women to embrace the call of God on their lives and effectively move into their destiny. Deborah has authored two books entitled: “ The Dawning of a New Day and Defeating the Spirit of Sabotage”. She is gifted in administration, web design and publishing and has founded, along with her husband, Taylor Publishing Company for the purpose of encouraging and assisting up and coming authors to publish their works for the up building of the kingdom of God. Deborah hosts Set Free Live Radio Broadcast on WJBS in Holly Hill S.C. Deborah is currently pursuing her Bachelors Degree in Multi Media Design at Cameron University .
Deborah is married to Apostle David O. Taylor, Sr. They Pastor Holy Ghost Pentecostal Church in Lawton , Oklahoma . They are the parents of seven children and seven grandchildren. Deborah serves faithfully beside her husband as Assistant Pastor, Praise and Worship Team Leader, Administration Coordinator and Finance Committee Member. Deborah's heart is to see men, women and children's lives changed by the power of God.
Sister Barbara Ward was born in Dunn , North Carolina to the late Jacob and Martha Mclean. She graduated from Erwin High School ; Erwin , North Carolina . She lived in North Carolina until the age of eighteen. She moved to Germany in 1975 and later traveled throughout the United States . Sister Ward moved to Oklahoma in 1980. She met and married Bro. Willie Ward they are the proud parents of four children and six grandchildren. Sister Ward attended American College in 1988 where she took courses in Business Law and Word processing. She also works for H&R Block as Tax and Financial Advisor and is a Supervisor for Swanson food service at Fort Sill , Oklahoma .
Sister Ward accepted the Lord as the head of her life on October 29, 2003 and later filled with the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. She became a member of Holy Ghost Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Apostle David O. Taylor Sr. Sis. Ward became a part of Women of Power Ministries and currently serves as Secretary and Public Affairs Coordinator on the Executive Board of Women of Power Ministries, Inc. She also serves faithfully at Holy Ghost Pentecostal Church as church secretary.
Sister Ward worked as an Account Executive for Excellence Magazine Where You Live with Rachel Gooden, Publisher of the magazine in Summerville, South Carolina . Sis. Ward is very dedicated to the positions she holds. Her first and foremost job is serving the Lord with all her heart.
Minister Gladys Valentine is a dedicated worker for the Lord. She is an anointed vessel and has a healing and prophetic anointing on her life. She also walks in the gift of faith. Minister Valentine is a licensed Practical Nurse and ministers too many through the gentle touch and kind words to those who are sick in body mind and spirit. Through her marketplace ministry she displays a servant's heart.
Minister Valentine is a licensed Minister and serves in various positions such as Finance committee member, Praise team member, Intercessor and Choir member at Holy Ghost Pentecostal Church under the leadership of Apostle David O. Taylor, Sr. Minister Valentine serves on the Executive Board of Women of Power Ministries as Intercessory Prayer Coordinator and is Personal Armour Bearer to Prophetess Deborah Taylor. She is married to Bro. Michael Valentine who also serves as Armour Bearer and Pastor Aide. They have one son.
