August/Septemer WOP Newsletter

We had our 5th Annual WOP Conference May 15-17th in Lawton, Oklahoma. The theme was "Pressing Toward the Mark". This past year was a year of struggle for many of us but the Lord manifested Himself in such a powerful way as a result of the determination to press forward.

Minister Gladys Valentine began the conference on Thursday evening. She shared her personal testimony and many ladies were touched as she shared from her heart deep issues that touched her life and because of her walk she is an example of what God will do and how he will keep you and use the very things that you experienced to help someone else up out of the mire clay.

On Friday morning the opening workshop was "The walls will come down by praise". Prophetess Taylor shared about how God led Joshua after the death of Moses to lead the people of Israel into Canaan, the land of promise. She shared how God prepared the people to take Jericho by giving Joshua specific instructions in order for the wall to come down. God ordered the priests, warriors and the people by telling them to march around the wall for six days in silence. On the seventh day they walked around the wall seven times and at Joshua's command the wall came down. Jericho was taken because God gave them the city before they ever entered by he led them through the process of possessing their land. Nothing goes without prayer and when we praise the Lord the walls will come down.

Sis. Barbara Ward and Minister Sondra Jackson both gave an awesome word, Sis. Babara shared on "From the Pit to the Palace" and Minister Jackson shared on " Praise Your Way Out". The were powerful words to encourage us that no matter what situation we find ourselves when we trust God He will bring us out on top.

The Friday afternoon session was taught by Minister Mary Cosby, "Midnight Praise". This precious woman of God told us how to praise God in the midnight hour. It's all in the praise. Minister Cosby took time to share a timely word to encourage us to continue to praise the Lord in your darkest moment.

Because of the powerful word that went forth through each of our workshop speakers the Lord came in the Friday evening service and moved in such a poweful way.

Co-Pastor Ann Mosley was our keynote speaker, the awesome vessel of God allowed the Lord to use her to minister to the people of God in a deep way. We saw lives changed by the power of God through prayer ministry. The Holy Ghost fell in the place in a heavy way and the altars were filled with people as God brought deliverance to some, others gave birth in the spirit and let of things that had them bound for years.

Saturday morning was a continuation from the Friday evening service as the Lord completed His work through a time of minstry which included healing, restoration and reconciliation. I believe that our lives will never be the same as a result of the work that God did in these services.

The mens workshop was awesome as well. Bro. Michael Valetine did an outstanding job sharing his testimony with the men. Many of the men also shared speaking openly about how men should live and conduct themselves to be the examples that God is calling for.

The final service was Saturday evening. Prophetess Taylor shared on the theme "Pressing Toward the Mark". She shared about Paul and how God called and used him to open the way for us gentiles to come to Christ. He was a man that Pressed through trial, tribulation and even at the face of death he endured. Just as God used this man of God He desires to use us for the upbuilding of the Kingdom of God.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the speakers for their diligent labor to deliver the word and minister to God's people.
